Here is a website that consists of more advanced and rules of various game plays of pool.
What's interesting is about rules & regulations on wheelchair-ed pool competitions. So here's the link,
http://www.wpa-pool.com/index.asp?content=rules_wheelchair
To add on, here are two places recommended for purchasing of pool cues or accessories.
They are theQshop at Waterloo Centre and Monstercue and Mambo Billiards at Le Meridien Shopping Centre.
TheQshop actually does services like repairing of tips and many other maintenance stuffs for free, whether your stuffs are bought there or not.
And they sells items cheaper than you could buy them online. So it would be a more preferred place for purchases of pool items.
I do have the links of both the websites in this blog so check it out if you have time to spare.

Basics of pool.
There are two kinds of billiards that people play more oftenly, they are the 8-ball pool and 9-ball pool. The 8-ball pool is the most common type of pool where players choose to hit either the Stripes or Solids. The 9-ball pool is the type of pool where players hit the balls in the numerical order, hitting the lowest numbered ball on the table first, and whoever scores the 9-ball wins.
Here's the right way to arrange the balls for 8-ball pool.
And here's the right way to arrange the balls for 9-ball pool.
The 1-ball is placed at the spot and the centre, the 9-ball. The rest of the numbered balls can be placed randomly among the triangle.
Theres more uncommon types of billiards :
- 10-ball pool
- Guard
- Carom
- Straight pool
- Doubles
- Scotch doubles
and more ;)
